Questions about going on vacation

We are leaving Friday for vacation and will be gone 8 days. We have someone coming daily to turn the pump off in the day and on at night. With the cover off we have been adding 10 oz of 10% bleach (per PoolMath) each night. With the cover on, how much should we have her add and how often?

The only way to know that is to do it for a while. It will vary from pool to pool. I would also raise FC up to shock level for your CYA, [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA], as an extra buffer.

With the cover, I might recommend going to shock and using tabs for the 8 days, depending on your current CYA level.
