Pump Won't Fully Prime

We have a 15k gallon in ground pool.

Cutting to the chase....we purchased the pool a few years ago, got the pool in working order, and we've been fine ever since.

For some reason now, the pump isn't fully priming.

I'm hoping you all can help troubleshoot the issue like you have in the past.

What information can I provide to help assess what's wrong with this thing?

FYI, the gauge is reading zero, but is usually at 10-15.

The PSI gauge on the filter is not going to show a reading until the pump is running.

Pump not priming is usually caused by a suction side air leak.

Check that the pump lid is tight and the O ring is intact and properly lubed.

But the pump is running..it just won't run at full capacity.

and the PSI is at zero.

My guess is you either have a dirty filter or a a clogged impeller. it could also be an air leak.

Do you use a suction vacuum to clean the pool?

Check the impeller first.

The impeller is fine. Didn't find anything there.
It's sand, not a cartridge. Cleaned that too.

Air flow seems fine.

Use a vacuum sometimes, but not lately.

For what it's worth, some of the jets are working, and some are not.
