Pump switching on but no water throughput when opening after winter.

The pump is ‘humming‘ but no water being circulated. It has been off for since early Nov. Please help! Any advice greatly appreciated. At the moment the pool is sparkling blue having been uncovered but this won’t last long with no operational pump. Thanks.
