Hello TFP- I'm sure this has been addressed in another thread but I am wondering if this community has any recommendations for pump run time. I have a 20k gallon pool / Sand Filter / SWG, and a single speed pump. I recently installed a timer on my pump and am wondering what the optimal run time would be? Would it be best to run the pump in small intervals or would a certain # of hours on/off be best? Also, is it better to run the pump at night or throughout the day? Thanks!

The link below is a great place to start. Run times vary for every pool based on many factors. With a single speed, you are concerned with energy costs, adequate run time to generate FC, and skim the water's surface. You'll have to find that balance between them and go from there.
