I currently have a Hayward SP2603VSP and it is connected to the Hayward OmniLogic automation. My pump bearings are out and my buddy that owns an electric motor repair shop suggests I replace it and have him attempt a rebuild on the old one (he is afraid it may be too corroded inside to come apart due to recent shaft seal leak). I can not find a model number fro my pump but I did find a SPX3400Z1ECM which is a 2.7HP motor. Can I use the larger motor without issue (and work with the automation), or do I need to find the specific 1.5HP direct replacement?
