My Hayward Max Flo VS suddenly starting clicking at the rear of the motor. Thoughts on if it’s the motor, bearings or maybe debris in the fan at the back of the housing?

I know there’s no real way to here, but wanted to ask.
The pump is strong, only 2 years old. It sounds like a playing card in bicycle spokes (remember that?). I have a video, but I can’t post it here. I’m not finding any videos of a similar pump online. None that I’ve watched have the fan at the rear of the motor, which is where the noise is.

I would take it off line and take it apart to be on the safe side. If there is something where it should not be it may only get worse as time goes on.
I did. In the AM, I’m going to take the fan cover off and see if there’s debris in it. One problem is I’m going out of town this week, and don’t really have time to deal with this :-/
It might be something in the fan. Check that first.

OK, no POP for me tonight!
I went ahead and removed the fan cover while I still had some daylight, blew it out with some canned air, even a little shot of WD40 on the shaft. Quiet as a mouse now! I saw some remnants of a small lizard, and what looked like a wasp on the ground.
