Propane master temp 250 ignites but then after some time service heater light turns on

The heater does turn on, runs and then the renter tells us later on that the service heater light is on. We are thinking it has issues igniting again once it goes into standby mode once it reaches the desired temperature. This has happened 3 times so far and each time it has used 5%.

The panel did not display any errors the last time we went.

We have guests at a rental property where the pool heater is presenting issues. Before we go to see what the issue is can anyone give us some tips as to what to keep an eye out for?

Thank you for your time.

Unfortunately the MasterTemp heaters do not display many errors on the display. You need to open it up, remove the top, and flip over the control board to see what diagnostic LED is lit. Not very user friendly.

Thank you for the reply, we did check the control board and the service heater mode light was on when we checked it today. It seems like the renter left it like that. None of the LED sensors were on

We did turn on the machine and it does call for heat, ignites, shut off when it reaches the desired temperature and then ignites again when the temperature goes below the desired level.

Water flow and gas does not seem to be an issue either.

Not sure what else I could check.

That sounds like normal operation.

You have a VS pump that they could have run at too low a flow rate?
