Programming IntelliTouch / IntelliFlo - Time & Speed Settings

I'm a new pool owner and my pool builder has been a bit lacking on the education front.
I feel like a bonehead, but I cannot figure out how to get schedules that use different pump speeds. I'm not sure where I will land speed/schedule wise, but those particulars aside I cannot figure out what I'm missing. I have a Pentair system. Pump, control panel, salt cell, filter..etc.

IntelliFlow Pump ( in service mode)
  • I can set time/speed schedules.

IntelliTouch Panel
  • I can set schedules
  • I can see settings and set pump speed
I cannot make them all talk to one-another. I have 3 non-overlapping schedules in the Intellitouch Panel. Those successfully turn the pump on and off but only to whatever the current pump speed setting is. I cannot get the 3 test schedules to have their own pump speeds. What the heck am I overlooking or doing wrong?

When the pump is controlled by the Intellitouch, the settings on the pump are overridden.

You should be able to set a base schedule with a base rpm then add schedules within that base run time at higher rpm, as wished. Those are called Feature Circuits.

Do you have your owners manual?

I do have the book. The Feature Circuits must be the piece I have overlooked. In my mind I didn't want to mess with them because I assumed "Feature Circuits" would be for stuff like water features etc. Not part of the basic pool pump scheduling.

Frik,

Look at the two threads below and see if they don't point you in the right direction...

Thanks,
