My gauge is ready high 20-25 psi even after I back wash. The thing that concerns me is that the pressure gauge frantically vibrates. I’m think turbulence perhaps but idk. Has anyone dealt with this issue?

Yes it reads 0 and is a new a gauge but I had to install a temp pump because mine went out. This pump seems more powerful but has the same horse power motor but is not VS
Same hp but but not a vs pump. The vs pump is only at the rated hp when it's at the top rpm and anything below that is a fraction of the rated hp. A single speed pump is always at the rated hp so this may be the issue going on. You're running at a much higher rpm then the vs pump.
