Power Flo starting issue

I have an older Hayward Power-Flo that has to be bump started manually every time due to a bad starter coil.
Can I add a start capacitor to this motor? To basically replace or bypass the starter cool?

If the starter winding is bad, then you have to replace the motor or entire pump. But are you sure it is the starter winding that is bad and not the bearings?
