I live in NJ, how many pounds of chlorine do you need to run a 38k gallon pool per day. I'm looking at swcg and don't want to have to run my system for over 8 hours and want to get a swcg that produces enough chlorine.... thanks.
The largest residential SWCG are rated for 60K pools. You will need one of those, but in the summer you will need to most likely run your pump at least 12 hours per day to generate the chlorine needed.
Most pools use 2-4ppm of FC per day. In a 38k gallon pool that is 10-20oz or 0.625-1.25lbs a day. You would need to size the SWG to make this amount of gas in the time desired.
