Pool should be drunk on M Acid...but it's NOT!

So I have now added almost 2 gallons of MA, and my pH is still over 8!!!

FC 5
CC 0
PH over 8
TA 175
CH 275
CYA ran out of regents, on order from TFkits.com, Pool Store says 70, but my last test was 85-90

MA is 31% from Leslie's.....bought today

Any ideas?

I would hold-off and give this a chance to process on that muriatic acid. In a 33K pool, 2 gallons would drop pH by about 2.0! For example, if your pH was 8.8, it should bring it down to about 6.8. So you've confirmed the acid is Leslie's 31% strength, what about the following:
- How old is your pH reagent?
- You are using the R-0014 correct? Not R-0004?
- Just 5 drops?
- Is this your first pH test of the season?

- Is this your first pH test of the season? No, done at least 8-10 tests, pool store confirms same numbers
