Hello everyone !
Livelox here.

Just found time to post our pool "renovation". We had an old vinyl liner (picture 1, 2) and we had to replace, and we found a solution to "paint" over it adding 3mm of vinyl "paint". It was made for pools no worries. We had a friend of ours who manages the biggest waterpark we have in our country and told us this is what we should do instead of replacing the whole liner. But only for 1 to 2 years. Pictures goes as this, since I know many of you like before and afters.
Old liner (1,2)- Alge(much worse than shown) (3), New Paint Liner (4), New liner filled with water and everything chemically balanced for a healthy pool.(5,6,7)
What do you think ?

With little imperfections at the bottom.
Also just subscribed to pool math. Best money on any app ever spent !

Never heard of that vinyl paint, especially over the top of a liner.

But generally we do not recommend painting in pools (usually plaster) as it seems to only last a few years at best.

It is a very pretty color!

I want to make sure I understand what you did..............

Why did/do you think you need a new liner?

Did you take out the old liner?

If you did take out the liner you "painted" over what was under the liner?

Is it holding water?

Do you have a name for that "paint"?

The liner started to faint off and turn really white and you could actually see just a bit under it (concrete).
We did not take the liner out. We painted over it.
Yes it is holding perfectly.
I will post it tomorrow since the bucket is outside.

@jblizzle
We did this to pass for this summer and the next. We will replace the liner after.
It was this around 600-700$ paint or 5-6k replacement.
