Pool quote. What tweeks should I make?

• 1 hp Hayward super pump and 300 # Hayward sand filter
• 2 gray wide mouth skimmer
• Pool light

• Jandy salt system
• 3 gray pool returns
• Gray aluminum coping
• All plumbing pertaining towards pool
• 8 gray walk in steps
• Pool alarm
• 20 mil liner of customer's choice

Obviously I’m not looking for anything extravagant. Should I request a different pump and/or SWG? Also is there any other changes I should request?

Anyone that has a saltwater pool should never get a single speed pump. You have to run the pump longer to generate the chlorine your pool will need. It is best to have a VS pump, or at least a 2-speed pump, which will keep your electrical bill down.

Id get all the equipment from the same manufacturer. If they are doing a Hayward pump and filter get the hayward salt system.
What about some type of automation system? Hayward ProLogic ? You can buy the combo ProLogic and SWG as a bundle.
Def. get a VS pump, either way I think 1hp is too small.
Extra light? Maybe LED instead?
Heater?
