Hi - Today (5/21/20) I noticed my pool pump when powered on immediately makes a "pop" sound and a quick spark or flash at the rear of the motor (very small fraction of a second) and my breaker trips immediately. The pump doesn't even get a chance to start up. Because the pump doesn't even have a chance to turn on and try to spin the impeller, there's no humming or buzzing sound that I noticed a few years back which I found out was a bad capacitor. Any info would be appreciated! I'm in the Dallas area. Thank you!

I would check first your Pump Capacitors - Further Reading
Otherwise the pump motor windings may have sorted out. You may be able to check that with a multimeter.
