Pool pump codes

I have so many questions lol. On break so keeping it simple. This is in regards to a 27' AGP.

1. My pump came with a basic 3 prong cord. To be clear before I dump more money in this money pit I mean pool I will need a twist plug for code?

2. Convenience receptical? Can it be on the same location as pump receptical? I know they are different curcuits I'm reading different location ranges might be older code, idk. Bonus response why do I need a convenience receptical. Ill never use it, more junk to cut around!

If you bought your pool from a local pool company, they should have supplied it with electrical connections that meet local codes. If you got it off the internet, all bets are off. Codes are local, so put your precise location (town/city) in your info.

Yes was online, all the locals was closed or appointment only due to Covid. I am in Cedar Hill Mo. All I could find on the county website was refer to NEC 2008.
