While the pool is drained, the pump line to one of the skimmers (this only happens on one of the two skimmers) constantly "returns" water to the skimmer. This is a very old pool and still has an equalizing type of skimmer. The sand filter is being replaced completely with the lines currently open at the pump side. So, is this water simply water flowing back from the pump to the skimmer? The water is clean with no dirt mixed in. This would imply that the pump line from the skimmer to the pump is back flowing. If this were the case, I would expect the water to stop back flowing after a period of time.
