Hi everyone,

We had an inground pool installed back in October 2020. They just came to turn everything on last week and it seems the equipment pad is always wet. I don't see visually anything dripping but it is always wet. I am sure it shouldn't be like this and it could rust things out no? Any input would be great.

Thanks

My guess is the leak is from the filter. But check the drain plugs on the filter and pump for any moisture. Some pool lube on a plug O ring can stop a drip.

Look on the top of the filter to see if you find a eeny little drip running down the side of the filter from under the Multiport Valve. That might only require tightening, or lube on the gasket within.

If there is no sign of leaking from anywhere visible, start thinking leaks that you cannot see. First one that comes to my mind is the pump seal.

Mine did this last year when I started up the equipment on my brand new pool. I have a Hayward sand filter and it was the drain on the filter that had a tiny drip. Once I tightened it up it was good to go. Be sure and inspect while your pump is running so the system is under pressure.
