Pool Construction on pause due to deck decision

Hi. I’m pretty new to the forum. Started my pool and I haven’t been able to move forward for weeks already. Trying to decide on my coping. Initially i was going to go with travertine but couldn’t find the right shade. Everything seemed too dark or had an orange hue to it. Anyways, I’m wanting to get marble pavers in tumbled French pattern from Stoneline Group in Miami. I’m from Texas and I am still debating on them since I can’t find any samples locally to look at and feel.
I’m worried about stains and it being slippery. The color I’m looking at is ice white. It seems to be very popular in Florida but I haven’t seen any down here in south Texas. I have attached some pics so you can see what I’m looking at. I’m scared about getting a low quality marble. I also have to pay about $1500 freight so I’m trying to make sure it’s the right choice. Any help is appreciated.
Attached are pics of my pool shell as it sits and pics of the sandblasted pavers I’m looking at as well as the tumbled.

I am going to guess you don't have any of that pretty stone there. If you did I would say wet it and see just how slippery it is. Maybe do a search here (use the G for the best search) to see if anyone else has used this for their decking?

howdy. My two cents here is that marble, while beautiful, is an accident waiting to happen. Skippy and I travel to Italy yearly and many of the homes have marble steps. That stuff when wet from rain is scary as all get out! I don't know how the stylish women in stilettos manage to stay alive?!
SOOOO....that said, I personally would nix the marble unless they have some with some texture on it.

No I don’t have any of that material. I have a sample of a marble coping that is polished. That one is slippery. The ones they offer me are either sandblasted or tumbled. I guess that’s to make it not so slippery.

Yeah I’m afraid of that. However the one I’m looking at is sandblasted or tumbled. Were the steps you encountered in Italy also like that or were they smooth and polished?

I took a pic of it outside. I couldn’t find it online. Noble tile said it was too new to be on website or catalogues
Oh wow. That one looks nice too. It looks like a limestone I had seen called shell beige. I’ll call noble tile tomorrow to get pricing. I’ve found some good prices but the freight is expensive. Btw, thanks for taking a pic of Platinum Ice.

You’re welcome. I live near noble tile so fortunately we do not have that large freight expense. I didn’t believe it was actual travertine because of that shell look but they assured me it was ?‍♀️

no final pictures it's still underway. i tested the marble by wetting it and running on it today though lmao
