Pool antifreeze sold out. Got 4 gallons of isopropyl alcohol. Could I use that?

I've lowered my pool below skimmer, blew out lines as best I could with shop vac but am not sure I am protected from coming severe freeze. All pool antifreeze is sold out. I do happen to have 4 gallons of isopropyl alcohol. Would it be safe to pour it in the lines?

Since you've already lowered the water, what about RV antifreeze? That will work as well. I would avoid the alcohol. In hindsight, many of us in the lower 48 just leave our pools running, even during the freeze we're experiencing. As long as the water is moving there is very little chance of freezing. Might save you some work next time. Checkout many of the Texas threads recently posted about this subject since we're experiencing the storm system now. Good luck.

In 2015, I think. I lost power from a snow for 2.5 days. That's why I didn't just leave the pump running. Thanks for RV antifreeze tip. Going out to see if I can get some at Walmart.
