Pool #2. South Texas. Waterfront property.

This build is amazing, such a beautiful view. Now I am curious to see Martin's build too but could not find it...
Thank you. Martins build will blow your mind. It’s like something from HGTV.

they were going to come today but this morning was occupied with a gnarly storm.

They have been playing a little more with the travertine coping. I really think it will be nice looking. The large pavers are what we chose, they brought a few to show. I’m thinking granite for the bar. I have granite in the house and thought about making this match. Not sure on that front. Maybe go with concrete...hmm. I dunno. Maybe just make it travertine (and yes you’re reading my thoughts...sorry it’s poorly written).

also not sure what the inner walls of the kitchen should be....will have tile backsplash. But no clue what else I’m doing.

Gonna be awesome man. Might have to come down and do a real Texas christening on this thing. That’s a long way to come without staying a few days though. Think you can handle me, WoodyP, and Chip all that time?

how many of you are willing to sleep together?

You guys are always welcome. I’ll even furnish the third bedroom that we may have not bothered to furnish thus far.

Hi Ben,
I was thinking about your thoughts on material for your outdoor kitchen. Granite counter tops for the bar and any other surface that may have the potential to get stained for sure. Since your kitchen is in a neat location, how about ceramic tiles for the interior walls. There are so many choices available, like a marble look, or wood look or just about any color or design your mind can come up with. And since you have that nice drain in the middle, you can just hose them off when needed.

Not a bad idea at all. Im thinking granite for countertops. Really like the idea of tile for the inside walls. I believe they are going to work on the pavers soon. Hoping that will give my wife a better idea of what it will all look like. Also going to make sure they waterproof both sides of the vanishing edge wall as we’ve discussed prior. Any other suggestions from anyone, I’m open.

Sorry for lack of delays, I’ve been very busy. And my pool builder has been very slow due to our area being a hotbed of the Rona. Travertine is almost done. Tile is done, they are going to start on walls, and playing in the kitchen. They went with travertine for the bar which wasn’t my first choice. I’ll just outlaw red wine.
Our tile choice became unavailable from the manufacturer. So we went with option #2. It’s been a challenge for sure.
We have a guy who does commercial jobs coming to look at replacing all the railing on our back porch with marine grade stainless stuff that the resorts use. Lots of work to go.

I haven’t posted in awhile as getting contractors to do fencing and other stuff has been absurdly challenging.

It has been a very long road, luckily I wasn’t in a huge rush...We are coming close to completion. They are plastering with quartzscapes super blue.

More pics coming.

Here is a small start up page:

You should also look up the start up page from YOUR brand of plaster. Each one is different by small amounts.

Okay I am going to say it even though I know you know......................do NOT stop the flow of water before the water hits the middle of the waterline tile. Don't worry if it looks a bit green in the beginning. It will find it's final color as the water is balanced and the water is cured.

NOW the fun part............LOVE that shot right there! The view, oh my the view!!! WOWER!
