Hey, Guys. The booster pump for my Polaris 380 just hums for 3 or 4 seconds and shuts off. I tested the start capacitor, which tested good, and then just to be sure i installed a new one, and the result is the same. I took the end cover off and can easily turn the shaft, so it is not seized. I'm wondering if there is another troubleshooting step, or do I need to order a new motor for the pump and have my pool guy install it. Century pump, model 173840-23, Serial 10718CH.

New motor time, unfortunately. Sounds like some of the windings internal to the motor have burned. It is a special motor made for that pump. With the cost of other parts to do the job, sometimes it is better to just replace the pump.
