I have a 3 month old pool. Unfortunately, I was unaware I needed to brush my plaster right away and didn't brush for the first 10 days. Since then I've been brushing most days. My plaster appears to have white patches throughout. Is that most likely calcium?

I just ordered a steel brush. Should I alternate brushing with my soft and steel brush and how often should I brush? Thanks!

Oh that is a shame :(. I recall @kimkats sending you links to the plaster start up guide and it mentioned brushing.

Is it the light areas of the finish you're speaking of? Its hard to tell surface from water reflection.
Are the patches flat or raised?
Can you feel them?
Have you been in touch with your pool builder about this?

Can you post a set of test results please, for the record. Thanks.
