PH levels too high

My free chlorine level is at a 12 but my pH is at 8.0 can I still put acid in to lower the pH or should I wait for the fc to come down?
Sorry, I don’t know where to ask questions at so this is the best I could come up with. Thanks for your help.
P. S. Pool is still a little bit cloudy, I cannot figure that part out.

The pH test is invalid when FC > 10. Let FC come down below 10 and retest pH.
You likely let FC get to low for your CYA. Link-->FC/CYA Levels

This morning I put 1 quart of muriatic acid in and letting it run..it is all ready clearing up.
