Pentair VS pump cover stuck

My pentair VS pump cover is stuck. Anyone had this happen and how did you remove it? Before I hit it with a hammer was wondering what other people have tried? I've removed it a few times before but this last time it just won't budge.

Hi. Do you mean the filter cover? You should first remove pressure if possible so the water drains. I use a soft rubber mallet to open mine.
