Pentair minimax 250M CH pressure switch obsolete and replacement switch doesn’t fit

We just bought a house and have been having problems with our heater it is very inconsistent. We were told to replace the pressure switch however it is obselete and the new one is not the same size and requires a bushing to connect. We did this and now the heater doesn’t worm at all. Anyone else dealt with this?

Do you have a home warranty with the new house that covers the pool? Do you have a multimeter?

When the system is running, what is the pressure on the gauge atop the filter?

Does your system have a variable speed pump on it? If so, try running at a higher RPM if you haven't already.

The little knob under the micro switch is an adjustment for pressure. If you are familiar with a DVM, you can easily check and adjust that switch.

No I don’t think it does...

The add the copper reducer to the new pressure switch and away you should go.
