Pentair IC40 swap to IC60

I have a pentair Ic40 with the easy touch system. My cell as died after 4 years and I was thinking about upgrading to the ic60. My pool is 28000 gallons and I was having to run the ic40 at 100% for 8 hrs per day. Will the IC60 just drop right in?

Yes. It's a direct replacement

After four years, I suspect you are right, but just for grins tell us why you believe your cell is dead.. ??

As Brian says above, it is just as simple as unplugging the old IC40 and plugging in the new IC60... The power supply in the EasyTouch works with them all.

I don't have it in front of me but I seem to remember that the Pentair manual says to be sure to cut power first. I would trip the breaker at the box and then do the swap. Again, going from memory.
