Pentair Clean and Clear Plus cartridge replacement

Has anyone used third party replacement cartridges for this? The OEM is # 178585 and I just noticed they cost a fortune and would love recommendations on a compatible third party alternative...

In another thread I read that recently Pentair has been shipping new C&C+ filters with Pleatco cartridges. What that means I don't know, but at the least it might suggest that Pentair is OK with that brand.

Many members here have used the Pleatco brand replacements with good success.

+3. Many many members have had good experiences with Pleatco and one new filter at the start of the season even came with Pleatcos inside, so at the very least, Pentair trusts them too. Most likely Pleatco had always made them and supply issues didn’t allow Pentair branded ones for that particular filter.
