Pentair 250 heater problems

Are you sure you have gas at the heater? We had one member who ran after all sorts of problems in his heater until he found that the gauge on his propane tank was broken and was reading half full when it was empty.

Yes we do have gas in the tank. The heater did ignite and stayed lit during the short time we had it on. We are going to be testing it to make sure it runs as it should.

Alright so the heater seems to be running pretty well but our membrane pad is not functioning. We are thinking it got burned out. We are jumping the pins on the circuit board with a wire and they are functioning normally.

You can find Pentair keypad on Amazon for about $80 aftermarket keypad for $30.

How much difference is there between an aftermarket and an original pad?

About $50... not clear from the Amazon reviews there is any functional difference. You can buy 3 aftermarket ones for one genuine Pentair keypad. It may be worth a try.
