Painting resin

Has anyone ever painted their resin top rails? Thinking of using plastic spray paint matched to the deck color, but not sure how it’ll hold up to water.

@Purple , here is some info for in-ground pools specifically, but has some points to consider: Information about painting swimming pools, mostly the point about longevity, most paint(s) are only going to last 2-3 yrs in the swimming pool environment, in case that is a concern. I don't know if the spray can paint would be able to withstand pool water exposure.

Unless they are in really bad shape I would NOT paint them. The paint chipping/wearing off will look worse over time
