Hello,
1st year with the new pool, and we had a ton of problems. Just found this site and can't wait to do it right next year. I have a pool frog attachment that adds chlorine and has a mineral pack as well. Should I scrap it and go another direction?

Thanks,
Dusty

Hey Dusty, welcome to TFP! Definitely remove the mineral pack. You don't need copper added to the water. It's a real pain later if staining should occur. Stick to liquid chlorine or regular bleach to increase your FC level. Keep the FC balanced to your CYA as noted on the FC/CYA Levels to avoid algae. Make sure you have a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006C test kit. Your season may be wrapping up soon, but have one of those kits for next year.
