Frontgate is carrying a new electronic water tester. It appears to be made by a German company, Tintometer.

It appears to work on the same principals as the ColorQ but is more expensive, at least at current Frontgate prices, doesn't test CH, and has a smaller range on several of the tests. Still it is entertaining to see a new entrant in the US market.

Frontgate always has interesting stuff. When I used to travel for work I would browse the pages in their inflight catalogs, but their prices always kept me from ordering anything.

I wonder how long the reagents last? It says that you get 10 refills with the unit. Is that good for 10 tests only? If so, then that gadget could get expensive pretty quickly at $8.95 plus shipping for each 10 refills.
