I have been lurking this site for a few years now and started using the BBB method just last year. It has made life with a pool so much better. I am in southeast PA with a vinyl liner in-ground pool with DE filter. I like to tinker around with ways to make pool maintenance easier, and this site has been the best influence. Based on the calculations from the PoolMath section, I created a cheat sheet that I keep with my pool chemicals to make adjustments faster. Also, out of frustration and my refusal to buy a $60 piece of metal, I modified a tool to take the plug off the bottom of my filter.
This site has been a life saver. I have saved so much money, and gained so much knowledge, by studying Pool School. It took quite a while to understand all the dynamics, and even then, I still learn new things all the time lurking this forum.
