New to keeping up a pool

I’ve been reading this forum and could use some advice on what I need to do to my pool as I just started taking care of it myself. After reading posts on here I ordered the Taylor K2006 test kit and got my fist set of numbers. Haven’t yet figured out how to transfer them from the Pool Math App to here so I’ll just write them out.

FC-4
TA-150
CYA-50
pH-7.4
CH-280

as it sits right now the pool looks great no Algae anywhere. I’ve been using 12.5% liquid chlorine since reading that the pucks can make your CYA go up.
The only numbers that it says I’m out of ideal range on is the CH and the TA.
Any advice would be appreciated

Hi Mknauss,

thanks for the reply and advice! I have set up my signature and read the ABC’s of Pool Water Chemistry about 5 times over the last couple weeks, pretty good information! Appreciate the help! I also read Total Alkalinity-Trouble Free Pool and have a path forward to get my TA to come down over time. Thanks again!
