We are building a gunite freeform pool. It will have natural flagstone as the coping and a stacked water feature. We are trying to decide on the pool color/finish. I've seen white plaster and that shade of water (light green) is too light for my liking. I would like a bluish-green that isn't too dark. Our pool builder requested that we pick a finish from nptpools. We would like either the PolishedScapes or PlasterScapes finish due to the smoothness. It's very hard to find pictures of completed pools that use many of those finishes. The website shows a sample for each color, but many times it's a closeup instead of the view of the completed pool. I have seen several pictures of pools with the Stonescapes Tahoe Blue finish. I love the color, but several people we have talked to say they don't like the texture of Stonescapes. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Also, opinions on salt or chlorine. Thanks!

We went with Stonescapes mini pebble Tahoe blue with hand tossed abalone. Mini pebble isn’t rough at all if applied properly. My wife didn’t want her bikinis chewed up by possibly rough mini pebble, so we went with stone for the spa seats and pool grotto seats and steps. Stone is perfect to sit on. Really smooth and gives spa some pop. Mini pebble would have been fine to sit on too though. Pool water changes color as the sun moves around, but was the exact blue/aqua we were looking for. Have fun ??
