New startup. Brushing and chemicals.

I’m at about 10 days post water. Still brushing everyday but not really noticing any decreases in dust. My pH got a little high but i got that lowered. Here are today’s levels.

FC - 2.5
pH - 7.2
TA - 130
CH - 200
CYA - 10

pool builder is suppose to be taking care of it for a month but I’ve been testing and trying to help on my own a bit.

Anything im doing wrong? CH started from the fill water at 250 but has lowered to 200. According to the app my CSI is -.59. Which seems low. What’s making it that low?

Your CSI is -.6 because you lowered your pH to 7.2... If your pH was about 7.6, your CSI would be closer to zero.

I used 55 degrees for your water temp, as I have no idea what it actually is..

When you say your pH was a little high, what was it before you added MA?

The whole point of Pool Math is that before you add anything, you can tell how that will effect everything else.

It was close to 8. I meant to lower it to 7.2 thinking it was the lower end of the acceptable range and it would rise slowly again. Maybe that’s wrong since the csi dropped.

yeah, for a new plaster job aim for 7.4 to 7.6 for a while... that curing plaster needs it.

New plaster for the first 28 days can benefot from a CSI up to 0.5 according to this thread - The CSI is Reliable for Plaster-based Pools

OP should keep his PH closer to 7.8.
