New pool owner, only found one line

Hey guys, I bought a foreclosure and the pool filter equipment was stripped. There's a broken 1.5" pipe on the side of the house that I'm guessing is the line to the grate at the bottom of the pool, and there doesn't seem to be any return line that probably leads to the 3 circulator jets (2 on one side, 1 on the other).

Any suggestions on how to find the return line an verify the line to the grate (like blowing it out with air)?

TIA,
Steve

The lines shoulf terminate pretty close together and pretty close to where the pump was.

blowing air through the one you found is not a bad idea but it will take a good seal on the air hose/pipe connection and a pretty strong blast of air.......a compressor would likely be better than a shop vac.

For the pipe you can see, try sticking a garden hose in and turning it on. If water comes out of the main drain, you will see dirt coming up and moving around.

If it comes out of the returns or skimmer, you can feel that directly.

You can put the garden hose in a return or skimmer to see if water comes out of the ground. If you have more than one return, you can plug the other ones to make the water come out of the other end.
