New Pool Caretaker

Bought a house with a pool two years ago and was too busy with a new job to fully learn the process of pool ownership. Had a pool service up until this summer. I'm a little overwhelmed but I think TFP will calm that feeling.

I've been battling mustard algae all summer and now dealing with high CYA. Found this website and seems to have a lot of good information.

I've been testing my water at Leslie's but purchased my own water testing kit based on the advice from TFP. Hopefully I can get back on the right path once the test arrives.

What kit did you purchase?
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
