Hello, I have a problem with my above ground pool. Yesterday I noticed the pool water was cloudy. I tested the water and my TA is 200 and PH is below 6. I added several pounds of soda ash and after 8 hours of filtering, the water is only slightly better and PH is still low at about the same when I put in the ash. How can one increase PH and lower TA? Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to the forum 
I'll answer that for you but I doubt it will help your issue. Most likely you need chlorine in your pool
Lower pH - use muriatic acid....TA also comes down
Raise pH - use borax.....it has little effect on TA.
Lower TA - acid and aeration method....see Pool School
Raise TA - use baking soda....it has little affect on pH
