Hi new to this type forum but good help at close shops-not so good.
Terrible season for my pool, in MI this year.
To the point (s). Sprung a leak under the collar, where it screws onto 22 in sand tank.
Is there a cut out pic of filters, or blown-up pics of parts anywhere?
I've had nothing but self solved (lots o reading) problems so these may be of help. I have a 1 piece, 1 screw collar
but under that collar looks like a plastic threaded ring peeking out from beneath collar (LEAK). In any pic..that "ring"
is shown inside tank, at bottom at "finger" (?) of sand tube. Has it been wrong past 5 years (not leaking)?
1 question at a time I guess.
1). Is the 1 piece, split, 1 screw ring (Wrench fits) on whole multi port valve, the ONLY part that actually screws onto tank? (aside from
innards of sand, pipes, flange).

TIA if ya know

P.S. It does NOT leak on recirculate (my only means of starting to winterize)

Welcome to TFP! Which make/model filter do you have? Post a pic or two? Please ipodate your signature with all your pool and equipment info. See mine as an example. It will help with answers to your post. In general, many of those multiport valves have an O-ring at the base of the MPV where it meets the filter collar. Might need some pool lube if it hasn't gone bad.
