I'm Chris. I just purchased a home last week with an in-ground pool. I've never owned a pool before and am completely green when it comes to pool maintenance. The previous owner was active on this site and told me about it before moving. The pool appears to be in great shape. I look forward to learning from everyone.

If the previous owner was a TFP member and applied TFPC methods then you are probably in better shape then most new homeowners who show up here.

Did he leave you with a test kit or any directions about chemicals used?

Welcome...We are in The Villages here in central Fla..TFP is definitely the go to pool authority . I am down to simple liquid chlorine and a little muriatic after a hard rain. TFP advice kept me away from all those pool store additives.
