New Construction- feeling overwhelmed

Starting a new pool and spa build and can’t finalize choices! There are so many things to choose from! My family picked a tile we liked from samples only to go to Nobile Tiles website to see it in a picture and NOT like it anymore. It looked so different installed. we are equally confused with coping options. We were given 3 choices of Lueders (grey or white or chocolate). We opted not to go with flagstone because of what we heard of flaking. For pool finishes we have it narrowed down to Crystal stone smooth - tropical isle, aqua blue or carribean blue. How do you make such a big decision that we will be living with for several years to come?!

In your tile choices we had picked the one on the right as an option when I was trying to pick a 6x6. We went to our friend’s pool and they had it. Right there I decided against it because I didn’t want the same as them. It looked good though. Kind of reminded me of denim. One thing I will say, if you go with it and have any kind of raised wall, make sure they mix up the pieces and flip them to mix up the pattern. They had a section on they spa that has way too many of the same pattern together.
Do you have to pick them all now or can you take your time and research? For plaster, see if your builder has any pools you can go look at. That little square will look nothing like that in your pool. I can tell by your photo that the lighting is changing the colors because I know what color that one tile is. But you need to decide what kind of water color you want, not just what plaster color you want. Study pictures so you can kind of get an idea of what plaster will make what kind of water color. WetEdge has some videos on water color. These things are so hard. I’m trying to decide if I want the texture I want or the color. If I get the texture I want it will be a white based quartz. If I want the color it will be a mini pebble. We’re doing o/b so I have some time to figure it out since we are digging next week. I’m sure it will be a last minute decision.

Thank you - looking up videos is a great suggestion. As is telling them to turn tiles upside down to break up the pattern. I would not Have thought of that. They are breaking ground on our pool this week so we don’t have a lot of time to make a choice if we are to allow for ordering the material in time. Our goal is turquoise colored water So I’ll do more research to figure out which will give us that color. The nobile tile Kanikula was our #1 pic but in online pics from completed projects it didn’t look as great as we thought. Thanks for the advice! To help you - is both quartz and mini pebble the same comfort ability under the feet? Perhaps Considering that will help you narrow the choice down.

I just looked at pictures of those colors and I think if you want turquoise then you should go with Caribbean. Aqua blue is more Windex. Tropical Isle is in the middle.
