New Build

I am working on an owner build and wanted opinions on design/equipment.

18x28 gunite/pebble geometric play pool (3.5-5.5-4.5) with a 7x10 ledge and raised 7x7 spa with overflow on 2 sides.

Equipment:
Intellicenter i8ps with salt (ic40)
011056 VSF pump
ccp 420
mastertemp 400k
2 skimmers, 6 pool returns, 8 spa
2 5g led color
2 microbrite for ledge
3 bubblers on ledge, 2 in spa
robot cleaner (havent decided on make/model)

what am i missing?

Location of Transition from shallow to deep for the excavation crew.

Your equipment list looks pretty good to me.

3.5' is really too shallow.. I suggest 4' x 6 x 4' (Water depth..)

I would only agree the 3.5' is too shallow if little kids are never going to be playing in it. The other side will be 4.5' for those who are taller.

You might want to consider upgrading to the CCP520. The larger the filter, the more efficiently it works and it needs cleaning less frequently.

3.5-5.5-4.5

3.5' is too shallow. I'd suggest increasing the depth to 4' in the shallow end.

All lights should be MicroBrite.

Have the plumber install a bypass.

Dig day was 4/6 followed by plumbing, steel, and inspection. Gunite 4/21. I ended up adjusting the depth as recommended. 4-5.5-4.5 - and also changed to all microbrites. Will post pics.
