Need to replace SWG

I have had my SWG for seven years now and never knew I was going to have to replace it. It has finally stopped working, so I'm looking for some DIY advice for the best way to replace it.

What's the approved method for doing this? If there's a post or thread on here already, I couldn't find it, though I'm sure I'm not the first to ask!!

Buy a replacement cell. Take the old one out, put the new one in.
Should be a straight swap. If issues with the controller, post them here.

Some have had luck with generics, some not. Kind of up to you.

Lots of sellers. For Hayward brands you can get from many pool supply houses. For Generic, I would stick with large suppliers like Circupool or Inyopools.
