Good Afternoon,
I have a 1HP Hayward Superpump. The motor is shot.
I have a 3cf Hayward Sand Filter, and have 1.5" plumbing
I have a floor drain and main strainer
I have 1 Return Line.

I need to order a new pump today, and trying to see what Pump to get.
Some say to do a 1.5HP and some say 1HP or 2 Speed.

Need suggestions on best pump to move the water.
I have a 39-42,000 gallon pool. Depending on site calculators.

What do you all suggest. Doing plumbing today to get ready.

Thanks

Cheapest and easiest with improved electrical use would just be to order a 2 speed 1hp motor to replace the motor you have and use the same pump.

No reason to go bigger if what you have was acceptable.

Almost seems cheaper to order the whole pump and motor assembly. Just not sure what to get. Pentair or Hawyard. Is there a benefit to either one? I have to re-plum either way so I want to go with something decent.

A Hayward super pump or Pentair Superflo are fine, very similar.

A motor would still be cheaper, but either way.

Verify whether your current motor is 115 or 230 volt.
