My first test

My Taylor K-2006C kit came today. I read all the paperwork and instructions and even watched a few YouTube videos. I went to the Pool Math app to plug the results in and I’m a bit confused by the TA recommendation. It says to lower pH to 7.0-7.2 with acid and aerate to increase pH.
My test results are: FC 3.2, CC .6, CYA 32, TA 100, CH 80, pH 7.2. The recommendations are to add 3oz+1tsp of Bleach (10%), 14oz Borax, and 5.1oz of CYA
Being new to this I just want some confirmation that this is right. Also, it is usual to have to put the Target parameters into Pool Math each time?

Welcome and well done! (can you add more pool & equipment details to your signature please, Thanks!)

If the CYA was between the lines for 40 & 50, round up to the higher 10 (CYA/50)
Your PH is low acceptable, no need to adjust your TA (which is what that recommendation is)
I would definitely use Poolmath to see how much chlorine to add to increase your from FC/3 to FC/6 and retest in 15-30min (with pump running), if your level holds, you are good to just "maintain".

I don't use the app, so I can't answer that last question. @redth

Thanks.
I added more info to my signature.
The CYA level was almost at the 30 mark.
I’ll change the target level for chlorine from 3 to 6 and add it, and everything else that was recommended now. I’ll update my result later.
The pool has only been up 3 days and Ive been running the pump/filter all the time. It doesn’t seem to move much water so it looks like I’ll probably be upgrading it.

Thanks! You will probably (honestly, definitely) want a better filter system, we upgraded to the smallest intex sand filter we could get and could not be happier! The pump actually creates a "lazy river" type ciruclation, so floating in the pool is fun for young and young at heart ;)!!

pH is fine where it is. The 100 TA will push that up soon enough. Yes, raise the CYA a little and yes raise the FC.

You might also want to start testing FC & CC with 10 ml water and only one scoop of powder. Divide the drops in half. 6 drops = 3 FC. 11 drops = 5½.

Can you explain a bit more what you mean by putting your targets in each time? Are you adjusting the default targets that are suggested/populated each time and expecting them to stick? I want to understand if it's working how I would expect to for you or not first :)
