This weekend on my M600 I had to use bluetooth rather than the cloud service to clean my pool. Says it couldn't connect. Anyone else have any issues or luck this weekend with the cloud service?
I don't have a M600 and therefore can't answer your question but this this why I hate this trend of every vendor's "cloud"...at least Maytronics fails back to a Bluetooth connection but why a pool cleaner should depend on an internet connection beyond maybe an occasional backup or something is beyond me. My M500's Bluetooth is slow but that's been that way since day 1.
I agree with Bryan. Another thing to consider with devices that depend on the the cloud is the fact that the owner of the cloud can at any time start requiring a fee to use the cloud. Then its pay up or throw away your cloud dependent device.
When looking for devices that use cloud services, I try to find those devices that will also either connect using bluetooth or local intranet connectivity.
