Hello we have battled low calcium a lot this year due to all the rain, we have added at least 100 pounds. But I am also battling high pH (8.2).
I need to balance this pool but not sure how as it appears these chemicals are interacting with each Other:
FC 4.5
CC 0.5
CA. 200
Alkalinity 80
PH 8.2
Temp 86
CYA 20

I think I am seeing an orange crusting on the pool walls in some locations.

Thoughts?? Recommendations?

Thank you.

Your CSI is a little on the high side. If you dropped pH to 7.6, increased CH to 300 and bumped your CYA to 30 you'd be much better.

I have no idea what the orange stuff is. Scaling is usually white.

I have purchased “pH down” which is Sodium Bisulphate, a dry acid-96%. How much should I put in to my 40,000 gallon pool? I will also look on pool math to see if it is there. I have added 30 pounds of cal plus
