Loud blower

So we have a new pool and hot tub with a Hayward SPB152 blower, but the high pitched jet whine it makes is the opposite of soothing. The blower is around the corner about 30ft away but so obnoxious I don't ever see myself using it.
is there anything I can do to make this quieter?

Some people add a tee with a valve and a muffler to help reduce the air flow to the pool and make the blower run quieter. See this wiki -

The other option would be to change out your 1.5 HP blower for a 1.0 HP blower.

I used a muffler off the central vac for my home. Google vacuum muffler for more options. This thread offers a few other ideas.

EDIT...I now see this may not solve your issue with a loud blower...sorry.

Reduce db Spa Air Blower

I've been trying to figure out a way to reduce the noise from our new 1.5hp Jandy air blower. Ultimately I'd like to enclose my pool equipment, but will be a later project. We added a three way valve to vent off the overly powerful blower to keep the water in the spa when the blower is going...

Have your builder change the blower to an Air Supply Silencer blower....
