Less chlorine needed the more the pump runs?

Yes, I realize the water will be better filtered but I thought chlorine use/demand was more an issue of organics, sunlight, CYA. What is the relationship between pump run time & chlorine use? I happen to be lowering my TA via aeration so running the pump 24/7, man way less chlorine. I was losing 2-3ppm FC per day (not unusual), now 0.5-1, yes, 3 days in a row.
Thanks

There is little relationship between pump run time and chlorine use. There are far too many variables regarding chlorine usage to draw any conclusions from a 3-day sample. If anything is happening right now my money would be that your aeration is cooling the water which slows the algae reproduction cycle.
